Columbia? Isn't that Reagan National?

BS Top - Irving Airline Merger

The Delta-Continental air merger means fewer flights and fuller planes, Clive Irving argues in The Daily Beast.

Implicit in the trend is that airlines won't go where there aren't enough customers.

Bad news for South Carolina, alas. The revolving door of state funded bribes to airlines to service the state's three airports, only to see them leave a year or two later, is likely to continue. There just aren't enough people coming and going for business purposes. When your industrial/development policy revolves around bolting things together, there's not much travel involved.
