Turkey calls for early Thanksgiving

Republican strategist Ed Gillespie said Sunday he "wouldn't have any problem" with a Republican Party platform in 2016 that calls for traditional marriage.

Appearing on "Fox News Sunday," the former senior adviser to Mitt Romney's presidential campaign said, "I don't ever think you'd ever see the Republican Party platform say 'we're in favor' of same-sex marriage." A possible new way forward for conservatives, which some Republican lawmakers have already adopted is to argue that same-sex marriage should be left up to the states, Gillespie said.

The 2012 Republican Party platform took a particularly aggressive view against same-sex marriage, arguing for a constitutional amendment defining marriage as between a man and a woman.
