In other news from the outer reaches of the political solar system, a Ron Paul speech from October is interesting for his designation of paleoconservative Senator Robert A. Taft as a personal hero.
He spoke to the Robert A. Taft Club, which orbits Planet Pat Buchanan. C-SPAN caught it and a clip is on YouTube:
As usual, Paul hedges a bit. There's always unspecified bits of Taft's views, and of the Constitution, he doesn't agree with. That sort of wiggle room has sure come in handy in dealing with his newsletter factory.
