"The way we tax them, the people need cheap beer, not that fancy foreign stuff."

We've gotten to the point, after five decades, that whenever we're asked what's the lowest, or the worst, of any category of being imaginable, we just reply, "Alabama."

The Delaware Libertarian has twigged us onto another manifestation of just how bleak and benighted that state makes life for its citizens. A few years ago, after a law professor did a devastating analysis of how the state's regressive tax system conflicted with Biblical teaching (seeing as most people there are vociferous in their professions of belief), they voted down a tax reform package.

Now we learn, you can't buy decent beer there. And there's legislator who want to keep it that way.
