A land draped with spanish moss and a vague sense of longing

We are grateful daily that Walk This Way, the Charleston SC blogger, is out there walking. What an eye for- well, everything! Eccentric signage, cryptic messages carved into wet cement (or, as we used to say in eastern North Carolina ("cee-Mint"); photos of churches on Sundays ("in lieu of attendance") and remarkable streetscapes.

Oh- parks. More parks. And a couple of extra parks. Here's one posted today:

This composition offers all the fogbound mystery of our former haunts in the Pacific Northwest, but with things actually blooming in April. As we've said before: "Y'all have to read this every day."
