Remove a few (but not all) of the U.S. Senators from that list, current and former, and that is a very, very impressive group, a massive pool of legal talent, rich in experience, scholarship, intellectual firepower and integrity.
ReplyDeleteI know some of the law professors on that list, and they are highly learned and deeply thoughtful individuals. As long as the U.S. continues to produce men and women of their extraordinary quality, we have nothing to fear as a nation.
Just as the Democrat party has lacked a talented foreign-policy establishment on which to draw since the days of LBJ, the Democrat party also lacks a comparable talent pool in the legal arena. The Democrat party would be unable to compile a similarly-distinguished list of professors from the nation's law schools unless it could travel back in a time warp at least thirty years and add figures from the 1960's and 1970's.
And who else might be on a Democrat list? Janet Reno? Eric Holder? Jamie Gorelick?
Goodness gracious! It is too laughable--and frightening--even to contemplate!
