A past and alleged bank robber named after two famous TV crime fighters gave it up shortly after a Spartanburg bank reported he'd held it up yesterday. Story via The Spartanburg Herald-Journal.
A suspected bank robber who turned himself in to Spartanburg police at the crime scene Tuesday morning was on federal probation for a similar robbery in 2004. Hands in the air, 33-year-old Columbo Banacheck Lipscomb approached an officer standing in the parking lot of National Bank of South Carolina, 150 E. Henry St., about 20 minutes after the robbery.
