"It's just a flesh wound."

Marbury breaking news:

mccain reveals his secret masterplan

John McCain likes being the underdog. It suits his scrappy, wayward temperament and it's a position from which he's won significant battles - not least the one to secure his party's presidential nomination. So it's no surprise that he's talking up the underdog meme once more (especially since, with the polls as they are, it also happens to be true). But does he really like being the underdog this much?

"Let me give you the state of the race today. We have 22 days to go. We're six points down. The national media has written us off. Senator Obama is measuring the drapes, and planning with Speaker Pelosi and Senator Reid to raise taxes, increase spending, take away your right to vote by secret ballot in labor elections, and concede defeat in Iraq. But they forgot to let you decide.

My friends, we've got them just where we want them."

Yeah, Obama's gonna feel pretty silly when he realises that him doing a lot better than you was part of your big plan all along. With his shortsighted insistence on winning, he's playing right into your hands!
