"I don't mind a parasite. I object to a cut-rate one."

One of the funnier things we've read lately turned up on Anaconda:

South Carolina currently features two prominent news “aggregators,” or websites that collect different media links and publish them each morning.
In addition to these free services, our state also has SC Clips, which is a subscription-based web site that provides a lot of the same information in your e-mail inbox for $30 a month.
So … what makes our new press briefing service better than all of these guys?
Well, not only do we pull from all three of these sources for our new Morning Blast service, but we think it’s pretty well-documented that our nose for news might be a whiff or two better than the average aggregator.
Our Morning Blast is also customized, easily-navigable and - unlike the other guys - compiled on weekends. Plus we don’t filter our search results to conform to any special interests’ definition of “relevance,” we lay it all out for you to surf at your leisure.
Seriously, how did we go from an insider blog to a fully-functioning Death Star in just over two years?
-with a photo of a marginally-functioning second Death Star still under construction from Revenge of the Jedi.
So far we haven't seen Willie's Death Star annihilate anything even though Wikipedia says it contains:
a crew of 265,675, as well as 52,276 gunners, 607,360 troops, 30,984 stormtroopers, 42,782 ship support staff, and 180,216 pilots and support crew.[3] Its hangars contain assault shuttles, blastboats, Strike cruisers, land vehicles, support ships, and 7,293 TIE fighters.[4] It is also protected by 10,000 turbolaser batteries, 2,600 ion cannons, and at least 768 tractor beam projectors.[4]
We haven't even seen The Death Star break any stories worth reading, much less shelling out $120 for. BlogActive's way out front on Willie's blackmail story , where their initial teaser has trickled down into one of imaginary friend Mande's frenzied romps with a big dic-tionary. Sorry, Will. Poaching on your line of humor there.
We suspect, now he's claiming a bun in the oven , that Death Star is just Willie's new nick for his willie.
Of course, the genius of The Internets is you can create your own aggregator every day. It's called bookmarking.
