Maine anti-marriage types don' need no stinkin' legislative process

Among the choices voters will have Tuesday is whether to repeal the enactment of same-sex marriage by the legislature the people of Maine elected. The law was signed by the governor the people of Maine elected.

For Christianists and conservatives, however, no amount of democracy is enough.

The Catholic Bishop of Portland has been demanding special collections to fund his anti-marriage campaign even as he is closing parish churches for want of money from his million-dollar mansion.

It's gonna be a photo finish. Hate is popular. Here at the 11th hour, the strange white men who make a living obsessing about gay people have descended upon Maine to hold a press conference eight people attended. They say it's because gay people are intimidating the Christianists of Maine.

The interesting bit is how much they look like the average Tea Party/Republican Party gathering.
