One of life's imponderable's is blogger Andrew Sullivan's enduring fascination with Ron Paul, the right-wing kook who never met a bigot he didn't say, "Well, I can't stop people supporting me" about. Paul pocketed the profits from the newsletters a racist published for him for years, was happy to address the Birchers in 2009, and welcomed the support of Constitutionalists (who didn't think Alan Keyes was strange enough to get their party nomination for president).
There's a lunatic blind spot in the big media for a right wing zany who has one left-wing idea. In Paul's case, it seems to be that he opposes the wars in the Middle East.
