It's not just the speakers who were old

Was T-Paw cribbing Jeanne Kirkpatrick's 1984 speech slagging "San Francisco Democrats"?:

What ever happened to Brie and Chablis?

The mustiest of Tim Pawlenty's attacks today was on San Francisco elites who eat brie and drink Chablis.
Both are available at Wal-Mart.
Pawlenty's line is of '80s vintage; Calvin Trillin mourned the passing of brie and Chablis from elite tables in the elite New Yorker magazine seven years ago:
What happened to Brie and Chablis?
Both Brie and Chablis used to be
The sort of thing everyone ate
When goat cheese and Napa Merlot
Weren’t purchased by those in the know
And monkfish was thought of as bait.
Of course, getting your cultural shorthand right might be a sign of too-close contact with the elites. But seriously, anyone have a suggestion for updating Pawlenty's next speech?
