Mitt Romney, AP and Politico reports, has endorsed Nikki Haley- LuvGuv Mark Sanford's designated heir in the governorship- in the GOP primary. Look for oppo ads tying Haley to Romney's former liberal stands, all of which he abandoned when he decided to run for president.
Granted, Haley backed Romney in SC in '08. But given that Congressman J. Gresham Barrett's endorsed by former Senator Rick "Man on Dog" Santorum, if we were Haley and a bigwig who once said he'd outliberal Ted Kennedy on gay rights called up to endorse us, we'd hang up and run. Run far. run fast.
