You have to ask?

A Democratic congressman called out the Teabaggers for their racist and homophobic attacks on Capitol Hill today.

No Republicans said anything.

Surprised?

Ben Smith has the followup:

It's early yet, and there's no video of Tea Party protesters using slurs.
But the testimony of John Lewis -- one of the three men George W. Bush said he admired most -- and the brick through Louise Slaughter's office window threaten a sense that Republicans have lost control of the grassroots anger they seemed to have learned to channel and stoke.
And as Rahm Emanuel told Eric Massa, angry doesn't always play so well at the polls. Ohio Rep. Tim Ryan demanded tonight that Republicans who spoke at the Tea Party rally denounce it. The weekend, beginning with the questions about a memo they were pushing, has found the GOP spending a lot more time on defense than anyone expected.
