Day's end

Blogging remains an interesting business, even as I come up on three years at it. You never know what's going to happen.

You can go stretches with no comments, then get a batch at once. Right now two of my favorite SC bloggers- neither of whom I know, I just like they ways they write and think- are having a spirited discussion over a post here.

That's what I hope to encourage here.

This week I also didn't publish a comment for the first time. Hey, it's my blog. I can do that if I want. But given that it was the first comment to over 8,000 posts, you can safely assume commenters get a wide leeway here.

Traffic levels are an unending mystery. I suppose if I wanted to sift through enough analytical apps I could divine some answer why today visitors numbers two and a half times the recent daily average, and probably three and a half times more than a typical Sunday, when blog traffic generally tends to slow. But it's more interesting to let it remain a mystery.

While I've typed this we've rolled over into a new day. Thanks to regular readers; welcome to new ones. Depending on your time zone, sleep well, or have a good day.
