My maternal grandfather was born in 1879 and lived until 1961, but I can't imagine having a grandparent who was born before the last of the Thirteen Original Colonies had ratified the Constitution.
ReplyDeleteI'd say it would be like having a living history lesson, but, of course, Tyler died 60-plus years before some of his grandchildren were born.
The last of his children died in 1948. I can't imagine telling people, "My dad was born 158 years ago."
ReplyDeleteSuch a good post in terms of history! I have read the related article on this post and it seems that the grandchildren of President John Tyler are not mentioned in the news. Hopefully, I can find more information about this issue.
