Ambitious consultant/blogger starts referring to himself in the royal third person:
Sullivan had recently come off a disappointing Texas governor effort for former U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson. However, as the man who headed up former Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney’s South Carolina primary campaign in 2008, he was seen as a consultant to watch in the presidential primary consultant sweepstakes. That disappeared when his agreement with Rubio was announced, and the possibility of First Tuesday to play a role in any election in 2012 was thrown into question.
Process Story editor Wesley Donehue, who worked closely with Sullivan at FTS before setting out on his own, said Sullivan helped him out on his way. “He was a mentor,” Donehue said. “I left First Tuesday for purely business reasons. Terry is the most talented operative South Carolina had.”
Actually, Michael Stevens wrote this one, as you would see if you looked at the Author tag under the heading.
ReplyDeleteAnd if I were going to refer to myself in the third person, it would be "ambitious consultant/blogger" of course.
