Process Story, the consultant/blogger of the GOP establishment, has yet another post on the Amazon.com sales tax exemption deal SC House RFepublicans led the way to defeating the other day.
As we noted yesterday, the way the GOP split over this vote- after its panderbearama for Boeing- marks a major fault line opening up. On the one hand, there's the old, 1950s given 'em free land and tax breaks and cheap labor model. On the other hand, there's the strange alliance of Wal-Mart- which kills off small business- with small business, and the Teabaggists and social conservatives, and Governor Haley, who maintains the Peter Pan theory that if enough South Carolinians swear they are proud of the state Tinkerbell will come back to life and deliver jobs.
Not being a Columbia bar denizen, we can't say where the money is flowing in this fuss.
But it's flowing.
