So if you're too poor to pay child support, go to jail, where the state can make you work for peanuts and take all the money.

The US Supreme Court issued a sharp slap to SC's Dickensian debtors' prison system of dealing with delinquent child support.

    With the difference between the old-style debtors' prison and this modern-day bureaucratic hell being that instead of just a bit of interest being tacked on while the "deadbeat" molders away in jail, sizeable child-support payments continue to accrue, essentially assuring that the debt will never be erased.
