Romney hopes southerners will appreciate that he drops his g's and appreciates hugs from girls- just girls, never mind what he said in 1994- but only the legal ones:
Continuing his bid to connect to the Southern electorate, Romney wished the crowd a "fine Alabama good mornin'."
The duo [Romney and comedian Jeff Foxworthy] retreated indoors, where supporters got to hear Romney unplugged.
He ended his speech promising to "come around and say hi to everybody.
"At least give us a big hug - that's the girls," he said.
Romney said that he's been "getting hugs from the Southern girls."
He pegged the hugging women as being aged "from 12, to well, a lot more than 12."
