If you think Rush Limbaugh's been getting a raw deal of late, there's a new cause for you.
I Stand With Rush is a concoction of L. Brent Bozell III, William F. Buckley, Jr's nephew and head of the Media Research Center. Bozell says conservatives are always getting picked on for the mean things they say (He got his start in the 1980s running the National Conservative Political Action Committee with Terry Dolan, who was one of the right's many useful closet cases when he died of AIDS in 1986. Bozell, for his part, rages at the annoying existence of gay Americans all the time, and has declared, "[T]here can be no common ground between gay rights conservative activists and social-issues conservatives.”)
Bozell and Dolan in happier days.
You can sign a petition in support of El Rushbo, as he often styles himself:
I stand with Rush Limbaugh and appreciate the massive contribution that he has made to the conservative movement and our nation over the last 25 years. Rush has apologized. But the radical left will never accept it because they despise him and want him off the air. I condemn attempts by radical left-wing organizations and the media to censor Rush and his commonsense conservative message.
You can like the site on Facebook; you can Tweet your support on Twitter; you can Pin your pinings on Pinterest. You can call The White House and tell them to take down a protest petition. You can watch An Important Message from Bozell.
And- you can Donate! Help keep the message going. Give Media Research Center your contact information. Embed the donation form in your own website.
The best part- for all the outrage, no one will know who you are. No one will know if any substantial number of people signed up.
That's standing up to those dastards on the Left. That's confidence in your message and the rightness of your cause.
Bozell called the President of the United States "a skinny, ghetto crackhead" on Fox News on December 22, 2011. He has also remarked, "Lady Gaga is as unattractive, in every sense of the word, as her name is stupid."
