Moon, eclipsed

He was, in various self-designations, humanity's savior. He and his second wife (like many proponents of the sanctity of marriage, he was divorced and fathered at least one child out of wedlock) were the true parents of all humanity. He was the messiah, returning lord and true parent. He came to North Korea, then the world, to complete Jesus' work.
Little did anyone realize Jesus' late-20th century work included founding two ballet schools; taking over an American university; owning construction companies, hospitals, schools, ski resorts, newspapers, auto parts companies, drug manufacturers, and a pro soccer team; commercial fishing boats, a jewelry company; several hotels and a wide variety of other real estate interests.
Rev. Sun Myung Moon, who shuffled off his immortal coil Monday at 92, also claimed that the founders of the world's great religions, along with figures like Karl Marx (1818-83); V.I. Lenin (1870-1924); Adolf Hitler (1889-1945) and Josef Stalin (1879-1953) "found strength in my teachings, mended their ways and [had] been reborn as new persons."

In their spare time, they loved playing chess on their life-size board. Their followers
were, of course, the pawns.
