The straight man's burden

You can't get elected to office unless you are one.  They run most of the world and proselytize the rest. They are inescapable on the airwaves. They are part of the worldwide, absolute monopoly on producing gay people. Virtually every time they want to strip gay people of rights, they can put it on the ballot and win.

Yet conservative American Christians are whingeing about becoming second-class citizens.
