You can always squeeze one more into the clown car

Bill Flynn in Commitment 2012 interview

A talk radio guy is the fifth North Carolinian to hail to NC GOP US Senate primary clown car.

Bill Flynn, who works the morning drive time shift for WEGO-AM in Wisnston-Salem, says he will use his 35 years' experience blathering over the air "to articulate his message to a broad audience."

WGO, in Winston-Salem, calls itself The Eagle. The station focused on African-American programming for some fifty years before becoming, in quick succession, adult standards, classic country, sports talk, Spanish Christian, and right-wing talk.

Flynn, 55, announced his run in Kernesville and cast himself as the common man's candidate, always willing to listen. He then pivoted neatly to the imperial "we":
"It's our belief that there's an awful lot of voices that aren't being heard right now," Flynn said.
Flynn challenged longtime Congressman Howard Coble in 2012. Flynn got 22% of the primary vote.
