Spinster legislator says, to get on in life, choose your parents as well as I did.

A quarter of the top 15 cities where poverty is growing the fastest are in North Carolina.

One of its state representatives- a graduate of the Pat Robertson school system- says that's not really in her toolkit. She's an expert on abortion and homosexuality. Everything else? Devil take the hindmost.
