Knowing the clock is ticking on their most powerful argument, a dozen of the most virulently anti-gay conservative groups in America (including two claiming affiliations with the Texas Republican Party) have teamed up to create a fundraising scam to help Americans "issue a restraining order" against the Supreme Court. The goal, they claim, is to stop this July 4 from becoming a big wedding wallow of newly-legalized homosexual weddings: thousands of muscled-up homofascists trading their leathers and jackboots for their best frillies and lillies, and serving up devil's food cake made by bakers bound for Hell.

The group, RestrainTheJudges.com, is a front for some of the nation's most over-the-top haters, and they are buying billboard space for this ad:

Where do you come in?

Well, you can pay this lot to send a restraining order for you, which wil have about as much effect as the federal lawsuit a Nebraska woman recently filed against all the gays in the world.

Here's the 'order':

Well, you may well say, "I can do that myself for a first-class stamp, and if I buy the envelopes at the post office, I get the envelope free!"

And you'd be right.

But to be effective, this group says, you need to send you letter to everyone in Congress, too:

Its website says the coalition includes the American Family Association, Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, and Scott Lively's Abiding Truth Ministries – all of which appear on the Southern Poverty Law Center'santi-gay hate groups list. Other organizations include the Liberty Alliance and Faith 2 Action. Also included in the coalition is Matt Barber's BarbWire website, which repeatedly has published authors who have called for the death of gay people.
