Does protecting women and children sound familiar in the current debate over bathroom laws?
It should. The same fearmongering and spite was used by Republicans against marriage equality thirteen years ago.
And interracial marriage equality fifty years ago.
And for separate bathrooms for African-Americans decades before that.
