“Philosophy Does Not Compel, Threaten, or Mock”

The President's snarling little budget director, Mick Mulvaney, wants to defund The National Endowment for the Humanities.

The 2017 Jefferson Lecture is not, proximately, the cause of Mulvaney's animus- after all, he twice thought America's salvation lay in the leadership of Texas Governor Rick Perry- but it is probably extra kindling for when the next bonfire needs kindling at the end of the current fiscal year.
