In an unheralded triumph of Hollywood CGI technology, President Trump's 80-year-old Commerce Secretary, billionaire Wilbur Ross, stayed home from the Middle East tour and was replaced by a hologram of nervous, skittish Golden Age character actor Donald Meek (1878-1946).
In an interview, Secretary Ross declared his surprise and delight at the lack of protests in the desert kingdom, and how it touched him that his armed Saudi guards all wanted farewell selfies and gave him sacksful of dates.
He also says Saudi Arabia is liberalizing its policies suppressing women's rights because he the headscarf of the Saudi stock exchange is a woman, and because he met a "very bright, attractive young woman" in a meeting of venture capitalists.
