As Dear Oscar reminds us, “I hope you have not been leading a double life, pretending to be wicked and being good all the time. That would be hypocrisy.”

There are many people who are up on their hind legs these days, barking- on cues from the *resident- that NFL players are supposed to keep in their place and entertain a nation of patriotic couch potatoes.

They- and their leaders- hold that expressing opinions on social issues affecting most players and their race- 75% of players are African-American, it seems- must be shamed and fired and deprived of the income and adulation the same people were willing to shower upon them just days ago.

The same people celebrate this player's exercise of his same First Amendment rights.

Kindly explain the distinction.

You know who you are.
