"In fact, says Little Tom Tancredo, "the place where we have indicted more terrorists or potential terrorists, is our Northern border."

“I think people really are ready for somebody who is not a part of the establishment, and that is certainly yours truly,” said Tancredo in a phone call confirming his bid.

What, you may ask, is Tancredo's anti-establishment cred?

The angry, one-issue nativist was elected to the Colorado House in 1976. After two terms, he procured a Department of Education sinecure from Ronald Reagan, spending twelve years as a government employee.

Cashiered by Bill Clinton, Tancredo created a right-wing think thank to run until 1998, when he was elected to Congress. Pledging to serve only six years, he liked it so much he spent ten in DC before running for President for a few minutes in 2008.

Off the public payroll was dreary, so Tancredo left the Republican Party in 2010 to run for governnor on the American Constitution Party line. He lost.

In 2014, Tancredo decided he was a Republican again, and lost the GOP primary for governor. He slunk away, renouncing the party to become an independent.

Now he's a Republican again, and going for his third strike at age 71. He's joining Steve Bannon's Roy Moore Corps.
