The Day In Dumb

Mostly the news continues stupid or incomprehensible, or both.

Hiking Governor Mark Sanford was interviewed by CNN's John King this evening and he blathered on about spiritual paths and budget cuts. King let him slide on his Argentine Fire Cracker.

Another cable outlet had  a story about the US military jet gone missing off Mrs. Palin's house near the Russian border. The anchor puppet said the plane had "disappeared out of thin air." Maybe into would work better?

Fox Business host Eric Bolling was giving an interview with the Mother Ship and was asked about GOP tax ideas. He got all moist about a flat national sales tax- a "fair tax."

But isn't that regressive? the interviewer pressed.

Well, some people may have to decide how badly they need that new computer, or flat screen TV, or I-Phone, he replied,, dusting off Ronald Reagan's welfare queen and plopping her down in the driver's seat of a pimped out Escalade. But what about essentials like food, the interviewer asked.

Oh, I'm sure they'll work out something about that Bolling smiled, doubtless anticipating a big lunch.
