It's not judicial activism when you reduce the judiciary to puppets

South Carolina's way the hell away from any international border (well, parts of north Georgia might justify a wall) but Republicans campaigned last year that the state needs an Arizona-style, "papers, please, brown person, I can tell you're illegal by your shoes after I make a pretext stop" law.

Now two honorables from Greenville County are bunching their skirts and checking under their beds in fear that a court will try to enforce sharia law. 

In a state where the legislature claims judges are "elected" because the legislature picks them mostly from among themselves and their cronies, what the hell....
