Once there were only three TV channels- it was way easier to get famous.

Comedy impression acts are tough. Vaughn Meader saw his career dry up when President Kennedy- whom he imitated- was killed, and now David Frye, who lost most of his currency when Richard Nixon resigned, has died.



Young people will find it hard to believe there was a time when comics made record albums.
