Everyone knows that when the US gets really bad weather, it is an expression of God's unhappiness with the moral fiber of the nation.
Take this example, from the last presidential election season.
Or this one, when Focus on the Family flacks urged their coreligionists to pray for rain of Biblical proportions to wipe out candidate Obama's acceptance speech at the Denver convention.
What, then, to make of the silence today- the dearth of explanations for Hurricane Sandy, now afflicting an area the size of western Europe and the UK? Surely, this is a last-minute, pre-election reminder from on high to vote for Romney?
And why are so many eastern Republican governors petitioning the federal government for disaster relief? Where are the private sector solutions to a natural disaster that encompasses everything from blizzards to hurricane and covers a third of the continental United States?
