That's gotta feel good-

Senator Obama drew a crowd the Portland Fire Department estimated at 75,000 yesterday. It stretched back a half mile along Governor Tom McCall Waterfront Park. We lived in Portland/Vancouver for 13 years and saw appearances by John Anderson, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, Walter Mondale and George H.W. Bush, and nobody ever drew a crowd like this one.

Bubba and Chelsea appeared in Salem, about 50 miles to the south, before a crowd of about a thousand. The Oregonian reports, "Before traveling to Salem, the Clintons stopped for lunch at Mother's Bistro in downtown Portland, where downtown streets were clogged with people heading for Gov. Tom McCall Waterfront Park and a massive rally featuring Obama."

The Decemberists opened the rally, which is way cool.
