Doubtless he thought that zinger "beau coup" clever (corrected since commenters pointed ot it's one word). Remember, we're talking $4942.50 in a state budget running to billions, and that the tourism department didn't even spend because it welshed on its contract.

When yo have to go that far out of your way to bring up a story the real media gave up covering as soon as they discovered there was nothing to it, while protesting you're neither homophobic nor a bigot, one begins to think perhaps the lad protests too much.
