MSNBC's Keith Olbermann's acerbic style is one Waldo's fond of, but both can sometimes get a little over the top.
Latterly Mr Olbermann's been on a jag about this: Rahm Emanuel, the President's chief of staff, and a legendarily profane man, called some other politicos "retarded."
Mrs. Palin, who has referred to her youngest child as "my retarded baby" even as she lugs him about like a sack of potatoes at campaign events, took umbrage, and demanded Mr Emanuel be fired. Mr. Emanuel has apologized- more than once.
Casper Gutman went off on a rant about PCness and used the cognate "retard" several times in succession on his radio show.
Mr Olbermann then started whingeing about whether Mrs Palin would ask for Mr Limbaugh's resignation/apology.
Today Mr Limbaugh says when he said the word he wasn't saying it himself, he was quoting somebody else.
We watched an episode of Burn Notice tonight in which a man of limited cognitive abilities was used as a pawn in a criminal enterprise. The word "retard" must have been used forty times.
Should the show be cancelled?
