Voters in Arizona got a jarring look behind the curtain this week as GOP Gov. Jan Brewer’s reelection campaign sent a blunt message to Democrats whom her campaign believed were spreading rumors about her health.
The implied threat? If Democrats continue to question the governor’s health, Republicans will raise questions about whether her opponent, state Attorney General Terry Goddard, is gay.
Brewer's team's response: the usual non-apology that the other side is just a bunch of crybabies.
