Governor Nikki Haley's upset another SC blog has come after her, this time from the left.
The Daily Caller, which owned up to jumping right on the report the Gov's about to follow her former lieutenant government into an indictment, summed up:
“Sorry fellas,” Haley wrote on her Facebook page Thursday. “I’m not going anywhere no matter how many lies you put on a blog.”
Haley’s comments are in response to a report by The Palmetto Public Record, a South Carolina political blog, that she could be indicted in a federal investigation soon. She has denounced the post as totally false.
The blog said she could be indicted in federal court over the finances of the Sikh Religious Society of South Carolina, a worship center her family is involved with, “as early as this week.”
The Republican governor and possible vice presidential nominee in 2012 described the blog report — sourced to “two well-placed legal experts” and a “highly ranked federal official” — as “trash.”
The Daily Caller was among the outlets who reported on the blog post Thursday.
Slut Wallah's owner, a former aide to Governor Mark Sanford and sometime conservative political consultant, claims to have had assignations with the Gov before she was Gov. She denies it. He says he's got proof, but never offered it, except in affidavits attesting to his own veracity. She's beaten him to book publication. He is peeved he got scooped and say they ain't gon' be no indictment till the fat blogger sings.
No one knew he could sing.
No one seems to find it ironic, either, that Haley's talking trash about trash-talking bloggers, when she edits out critical comment from her Facebook page and made her announcement there.

We get the government (and the governor) we deserve.
