Cartoonist Charles Barsotti, who did more than 1400 drawings just for The New Yorker, has penned his last. He was 80 years old. In 1972 he ran for Congress; it's a wonderful thing to consider what that body would have been like with him in it.
His dogs were the best since Thurber's.
