Stuff I read today: November 5, 2016

Three days. No condor.

- There's even a dearth of other days to celebrate today, just this sad pair:

NOVEMBER 5 – NATIONAL LOVE YOUR RED HAIR DAY – NATIONAL DOUGHNUT DAY

- When the federal court of appeals struck down North Carolina’s Republican-written “surgical precision” voter suppression law, it turned out the GOP had an extra set of scalpels ready.

- West Virginia Republicans, when they’ve got nothing else, play the gay card. And you thought bullying stopped with the teenage years.

When a stranger treats you poorly, tries to rip you off, brings discourtesy instead of respect

...how do you treat the next stranger?

Paying bad behavior forward hurts.

- Cotton Boll Conspiracy is another smart fella. Here he considers reflexive, thought-free poll responses.

- Maine has suffered under a Donald Trump tribute band of a governor, Paul LePage, for six long years. At least the experience has spurred ideas for electoral reform.
