What Fresh Hell? for November 16, 2017: Who'd'a thought the *resident could be crowded right off the news?

"If liberty means anything at all it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear," George Orwell wrote in a 1945 preface to Animal Farm.

Fox News Viewers Demand Shep Smith be Fired After Error-Filled Uranium One Report: ‘Send Him to CNN’

In the wake of Fox News anchor Shepard Smith’s six-minute fallacy-filled Uranium One “fact check” rant on Tuesday, social media is brimming with enraged Fox viewers calling for the network to dump the longtime host and “send him to CNN.”
Several left-wing and establishment media outlets reported some of the more searing social media screeds from fans of Fox, many of whom wished the cabler would part ways with its liberal broadcaster.

Today Senator Al Franken greased the skids for Roy Moore to slide into the Senate December 12 on a wave of Whataboutism.

While Franken called for an ethics investigation of himself and issued a fulsome apology, a picture is still good for a thousand tweets in the Fox News audience.

Everyone is trying to get in on the spin. Even the *resident Minister of Propaganda, Kellyanne Conway, crowed that she kicked off the whole debate in October 2016 but no one ever listens to Kellyanne. But with Kellyanne, it’s always an #AltFacts play:

Conway did indeed raise the issue of sexual harassment on Capitol Hill last October, telling NBC’s Chris Matthews: “I would talk to some of the members of Congress out there,” she said. “When I was younger and prettier, them rubbing up against girls, sticking their tongues down women’s throats uninvited who didn’t like it.”

A valid point. But, as CNN points out, Conway’s comments last year came just two days after the release of the Access Hollywood tape in which Donald Trump, Conway’s boss and the current President of the United States, bragged about forcefully kissing women and grabbing them “by the pussy.”

Conway also helped elect and has continued to counsel and champion Trump, a man who has been accused of sexual harassment and assault by multiple women, and whose administration has routinely adopted policies that would be detrimental to women, like limiting their access to health care and birth control.

Lost in the shuffle-fortunately for him- was yesterday’s bizarre and racist-yet-incoherent jabberwocky from one of Roy Moore’s lawyers:

Roy Moore's Lawyer Cites Muslim MSNBC Host's 'Diverse' Background to Explain Good Ol' American Pedophilia

You have to watch the interview, then try to imagine the skin-crawling creepitude of Trenton Garman leeringly examining the accusers in the lawsuit Roy Moore says he will file.

Trouble is, who to sue is a moving target. Today the number of women rose to nine.

For his part, Moore summoned a bunch of evangelical wingnuts from out of state to lay hands on him in an uplifting, godly and non-gropy manner. Billed as a press conference, the event was mostly an anti-gay pep rally that included a rabbi in the role of Turkey Calling For An Early Thanksgiving:

A bevy of speakers who support Roy Moore - few of them actual Alabama voters, however - stood at the podium for a press conference hosted by Faith2Action, and the overwhelming sentiment from the speakers seemed to center on Moore's stance against abortion and against LGBT rights. Terms such as "homosexualist gay terrorism" and "LGBT mafia" were used to describe Moore's opponents, as other speakers preceded Moore's brief speech.

Moore has been accused by eight women of sexual misconduct, ranging from harassment to sexual assault. Moore said in response to those calling for him to step down from the Alabama race, "I'll tell you who needs to step down, that's Mitch McConnell."

Moore added, "There's been comments about me taking a stand," said Moore, adding, "I'll quit standing when they lay me on that box and put me in the ground."

Moore thanked supporters for their words, and addressed the mounting allegations against him, calling them "untrue" and slammed them as having "no evidence to support them."

He said when he first decided to run, he wanted to see unity, and joked that he has unified Democrats and Republicans because they both want him not to run. Moore did deny all of the claims against him by women alleging sexual misconduct. He said the allegations have prevented him being able to discuss "the issues."

Janet Porter chastised the reporters trying to make sense of who was the fog, and who was the only, telling them the event had been

“Probably more church than any of you have gotten in the last 10 years.”

The Porter sat Judge Moore on her knee and did a weird ventriloquist act where she talked and his mouth didn’t move:

Janet Porter took back the microphone and asked reporters if they had questions. They all did, of Moore not her, and she told them Moore would not bet answering any questions. They were there to talk about "issues," she insisted.

"The major issue here," one enterprising reporter said, "is Judge, did you touch any of these women who have accused you of touching them? Just answer it unequivocally. This is a room of faith – God's listening to you too. Answer the question please."

“He’s already answered that question,” Porter insisted.

“Have you ever touched any of them sir?” the reporter demanded.

“Listen – He’s already answered that question,” Porter again insisted.

“Let him speak. He’s running for Senate, ma’am,” the reporter reminded Porter.

“Hush. He has spoken. Repeatedly. In fact I have heard him answer that question,” Porter scolded.

“Let him speak. He can answer the question,” the reporter insisted.

“We pay for this microphone,” Porter concluded, shutting down the reporter. "And what I want to say is, he's answered that question repeatedly, and was answered sufficiently, and was on Sean Hannity.”

Porter went to the next reporter.

"Does Judge Roy Moore categorically deny he dated high school girls – teenaged high school girls when he was in his 30's?"

Porter, speaking for Moore for some odd reason, replied: "You read his letter and it addresses that very clearly."

The first reporter shouted, "Can he speak for himself please? Judge, you're running for Senate!"

Porter again claimed because she "paid for the mic," she made the rules.

And with that, Roy Moore, smiling, walked behind Janet Porter, out of his own press conference.

Remember Mark Burns, the sleazy from Easley, SC, the screaming minister who gave the 2016 GOP convention an ear-splitting benediction in the name of God the Republican?

He came out from his greenscreen online church to go where he really shouldn't have: Trenton Garmanland:
