Today is the 199th anniversary of the birth of Abraham Lincoln. Today also kicks off the run-up to his bicentennial, to be celebrated around the land starting a year from now.It probably won't happen, but it would be an interesting exercise to reassess Lincoln and his war in contrast with the current president and his.
