Hutch takes over the Love Boat

Time for an update on Rev. Ken Hutcherson news!

Two "Financial Supporters" of Hutcherson's AGN Financial Network (which asks people to buy three shares of Microsoft stock and give one to AGN so they can collectively force the company into more godly ways, not to mention buying lots of Hutch's and his friends' books) have put out a new tome arguing you can still be a Christian and care about poverty and stuff like that, not just abortion and gay rights, and that while global warming may be biblically inspired, only Republican free-market solutions are the answer to it.

Tony Perkins and Harry Jackson Jr. "also say that an evangelically inspired third party is a “powerful possibility”.

"The book is sure to raise some eye-brows. The authors say that “what Jesus warned would occur in the last days are almost identical to what some global warming theorists say is going to happen”, pointing to what they see is the parallel between scientific and Biblical predictions of famines and extreme weather events.

"But they adopt the view of secular sceptics of climate change who say economic resources spent on capping carbon emissions would be better spent in areas like poverty alleviation. The authors spoke with Reuters about their book and the future of the Religious Right, whose obituary they say is being prematurely written - and not for the first time."

AGN still has no new news of what it's doing- the site went up first of the year 2008 and they still just have one Seattle newspaper story in the "News' page.

The Gay Curmudgeon (see Waldo's favorites), however, reports, Hutch is planning a cruise where he will explain it all to you.

And finally, there's still no list of Hutch's powerful white backers, a key element of his threat at Microsoft's annual meeting last November.
