One of SC's consultant/bloggers is up to Part IX of why the state needs more tort reform.
They promise more news every day until the legislature does what bidness wants.
The gist of the legislative majority's thesis is that the state is falling behind other southeastern states in diving to the bottom when it comes to making courts a one-way street for corporations and their lawyers.
This seems to be the heart of SCGOP economic development theory. Don't give corporations the sort of tax breaks Boeing got the day before yesterday from the same legislative majority. Just repeal everything and assure Amazon if they come back they can have five year olds packing their boxes and no rights whatever otherwise. Assure them the courts know their place. Turn the place into pig farms.
