It seems like just yesterday that we were wondering over the last mass killing in America.
Well, actually, it was: the one in Clackamas Town Center, outside Portland, Oregon. A piker by today's standard; or by the standard of the one in Colorado Waldo wrote about last July.
The answer then, and doubtless will be when we get home and can watch a few talking head shows, was, "Now is not the time to discuss gun control. People are grieving. The holidays are ruined. And it doesn't happen that often, anyway."
As Hillel the Elder asked, "If not now, when?"
And as Waldo has asked, with depressing regularity over the last five years, "How many will be enough?"
