Dept. of Bless Their Hearts

Counterprotesters told told WLGBT that they came out to oppose attacks on the Confederate flag.
Craig Haden, who was one of three counterprotesters spotted at the event, suggested that some activists might hate the flag because they were biased against Jews.
“If they’re offended I question their motivations because the blue in the Confederate battle flag represents St. Andrew who was an apostle of Jesus Christ and he was Jewish and makes me wonder if they’re anti-Semitic,” Haden opined.
Organizers of the event said that they hoped to build support for Initiative 55, which would remove all references to the Confederacy from the Mississippi state flag.
