Most call it "editing."

LifeSiteNews- which unaccountably drops the "p" from its title- is upset that marriage equality has gone from 68% revilability in 2005 to 61% "Meh" in the latest Gallup poll.

Author Peter LaBarbera, who makes a living obsessing about gay people (the blogger Joe.My.God has an 18-page archive of LaBarbara tales including his periodic calls for mass executions), is never one to let facts get in the way of a conclusion in an article explaining away the bad news with lots of "quotes". Thus, this easy-to-skim-over paragraph on the apostasy of the Christianist Right in America:
In 2015, one-time conservative standard-bearer National Review ran an essay in defense of “gay marriage” by its managing editor, Jason Lee Steorts. NR’s founder, William F. Buckley, was firmly against legalizing homosexuality-based “marriage” as a Catholic, but his great-nephew, Sean Buckley, a homosexual, came out for it in 2015.
Never mind that by 2015, William Frank Buckley Jr had been dead seven years.
